If stars don't produce their light then why is the sun called a star if it produces it own heat and light hence making it self different from stars.

stars produce their own heat and light whereas the moon, planets,asteroids,natural satellite and comets shine by light reflected from the sun.
The sun is called a star because just like stars it produces its on heat and light.
