Question

If tan2A=cot(A18), where 2A is an acute angle, then find the value of A

Open in App
Solution

Given tan2A=cot(A180)

cot(902A)=cot(A180)[tanθ=cot(90θ)]

Comparing angles we get

902A=A18

90+18=A+2A

3A=108

A=1083

A=36
