Solution

The correct option is C a22
tan(π4+x)+tan(π4x)=a

tan(π4+x)+tan(π2π4x)=a

tan(π4+x)+tan(π2(π4+x))=a

tan(π4+x)+cot(π4+x)=a

Squaring on both sides

tan2(π4+x)+cot2(π4+x)+2tan(π4+x)cot(π4+x)=a2

tan2(π4+x)+cot2(π2(π4x))+2=a2

tan2(π4+x)+tan2(π4x)=a22
