If tangents RA and RB from a point R to a circle with centre O are inclined to each other at an angle of θ and AOB=40o then find the value of θ (in degrees).

In the above figure, by using the property that the tangent and radius at the point of contact are perpendicular to each other. So,
A=90o
B=90o

Now, by using the angle sum property in quadrilateral AOBR,
AOB+OAR+OBR+ARB=360o
40o+90o+90o+θ=360o
θ=140o
