If Teflon Is Thermoplastic then how does it not melt on a non-stick pan

Dear student

Thermoplastics are special types of plastics which cannot be moulded again if once shaped. Therefore, on applying heat on the pan, teflon coating doesnot melt as Polyterafluaroethylene is a thermoplastic.
