Solution

Find the Ratio and simplify

The two numbers are a and b

A.M=a+b2

G.M=ab

The given condition is that A.M is twice the G.M.

A.M=2G.Ma+b2=2aba+b2ab=2a+b+2aba+b-2ab=2+12-1a+b2a-b2=31a+b2=a2+2ab+b2a+ba-b=31ab=3+13-1ab=3+123-12ab=3+23+13-23+1ab=4+234-23ab=2+32-3

Hence, the ratio a:b is 2+3:2-3
