By what factors will the intensity increase?

Open in App
Solution

We know, A2I...(i)

Amplitude of sound wave is tripled

New amplitude is 3A and new intensity will be Io

(3A)2=Io

9(A)2=Io

So, from equation (i) ,

9I=Io

Hence, intensity increase by 9 times.
