Angle between the asymptotes =2θ

Transverse axis act as an angle bisector of asymptotes

Vertex of the hyperbola is (a,0)

Vertex of conjugate hyperbola is (b,0)

In ΔOAB

tanθ=ba

We know, ecentricity of hyperbola e2=1+b2a2

e2=1+tan2θ (ba=tanθ)

e2=sec2θ

e=secθ

If 2θ is the angle between the asymptotes,

Eccentricity of the hyperbola=secθ
