Given,

Area of a rectangle = 36 cm2

Length = 4 x breadth ( L= 4 B)

Area of a rectangle = length×breadth=L×B

36 = 4B×B

364 = B2

B2 = 9 cm

B = (9)1/2 cm

B = 3 cm

Length= 4B = 4x3= 12 cm
