If the area of a rectangular plot is 240sq.m and its breadth is 12m, then find the perimeter of the plot.

Step 1. Finding the length of the rectangular plot:

Lets us assume the length of the rectangular plot is l and the breadth of the rectangular plot is b.

Given the breadth of the rectangular plot, b=12m

Given, the Area of the rectangular plot =240sq.m

We know, that the area of a rectangular plot = Length×Breadth

=l×b

So, we got,

l×b=240

l×12=240

l=24012=20m

Therefore the length of the rectangular plot is 20m.

Step 2. Finding the Perimeter of the rectangular plot:

Perimeter of rectangular plot =2l×b

=220+12

=2×32

=64m

Hence, the area of the rectangular plot is 64m.
