According to the statement
base = 3$\times$height = $3\times h$
As we know,
Area of triangle = $\frac{1}{2}$$\times$height $\times$base
$\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2}$$\times$$h$$\times$$3h$ = 294
$\Rightarrow 3h^2=588$
$\Rightarrow h^2=196$
$\Rightarrow h=\pm 14$
Since height cannot be negative
$\therefore h=14cm$
