Thus, AB = 4 cm.

Note that ID=BC= 3 cm.
Hence, AC= AB + BC= 4+3 = 7 cm.
$⟹$ Area of square ACEG = AC${}^2$
= (7) ${}^2$
= 49 cm${}^2$
