If the average wage of 50 workers is Rs. 100 and the average wage of 30 of them is Rs. 120, then find the average wage of the remaining workers.

We know,
Average = Sum of quantities / Numbers of the quantities
Therefore,
Wage of 50 workers = 50×100=5000Rs.
Similarly,
Wage of 30 workers = 30×120=3600Rs.
Now,
Wage of 20 workers = Wage50Wage30
=Rs.1400
Hence, average wage of 20 workers = 140020=Rs.70
