The correct option is A 5 cm
Given a parallelogram ABCD with base 10 cm and height 5 cm.
If we just remove the triangle ADE from ABCD and slide it towards the side BC, we get a rectangle which has the same area as that of the parallelogram we started with.


The length of the rectangle thus formed, will be equal to that of the parallelogram, and the breadth to that of the height of the parallelogram.
Thus, the breadth of the rectangle is 5 cm.
