If the bisectors of the base angles of a triangle enclose an angle of 135o prove that the triangle is a right triangle.

Let the bisectors of the base angles B and C of triangle
ABC meet at O

Given angle BOC=135

Now In BOC

OBC+BOC+OCB=180

12B+135+12C=180

12[B+C]=45

B+C=90

In ABC

A+B+C=180

A+90=180

A=90

Therefore triangle ABC is an right triangle.
