The correct option is B 25% Gain
Let the C.P. of 1 item =Rs 1
As per the question S.P. of 40 of items =Rs 50
S.P. of 1 item =5040=Rs 54
So, S.P. of each item is more than the C.P.
Hence, Gain % is given as
Gain(%)=S.P.C.P.C.P×100
=5411×100
=14×100
=25%
Profit is 25%
