If the cells has $2n$ number of chromosomes at $G$, then numer of chromosomes after $S$ phase will be $2n$.

In G phase of interphase, the cell grows there is no change in the genomic content of the cell so it will remain as follows i.e 2n. But in S phase doubling of the DNA content occur so it will result in 4n of the DNA content.
