Question

If the concentration of glucose in blood is 0.9g/L , what will be the molarity of glucose in blood

Open in App
Solution

Given,
Concentration of glucose in blood = 0.9 g/L
Number of moles of glucose = (0.9 g) / (180 g/L)
= 0.005 moles
Volume of solution = 1 litre
Hence,
Molarity = Number of moles / Volume of solution in litres
= 0.005 / 1
= 0.005 M
