Effect of Global warming:-
● Overall increase in temperature
● Rising sea levels
● Extreme weather conditions
● Fresh water loss
● Glacier sheet melting
● Coral bleaching
● Desertification

● Organisms have their own range of optimum conditions of growth and reproduction which depends mainly on the environment.
● The first response to climate change would be to move to another location with favourable temperatures.
● Example: On land, species that usually live in the tropics are now moving to colder temperate areas at high altitudes, in oceans fishes are moving to cooler waters at deeper depths.
● This has further resulted in new interaction between species and the formation of new biotic communities, emerging diseases, and changes in food supply.
