$It is given that a - b = \frac{3}{5} (\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{5}) \Rightarrow a - b = \frac{3}{5} (\frac{5 - 4}{20}) \Rightarrow a - b = \frac{3}{5} \times \frac{1}{20} \Rightarrow a - b = \frac{3}{100} . . . . (1) and a + b = \frac{9}{20} \Rightarrow a + b = \frac{9 \times 5}{20 \times 5} \Rightarrow a + b = \frac{45}{100} . . . . (2) Adding (1) and (2), we get 2 a = \frac{48}{100} \Rightarrow a = \frac{24}{100} \Rightarrow a = \frac{6}{25} Put the value of a = \frac{24}{100} in (1), we get a - b = \frac{3}{100} \Rightarrow \frac{24}{100} - b = \frac{3}{100} \Rightarrow b = \frac{24}{100} - \frac{3}{100} \Rightarrow b = \frac{21}{100}$
