10=(1a)2+(43)2
Squaring both sides, we get
10=(1a)2+(43)2
10=1+a22a+1=0
a22a8=0
a24a+2a8=0
a(a4)+2(a4)=0
(a4)(a+2)=0
a=2 or a=4
