About the body:

  1. If the distance-time graph is a straight line parallel to the time axis, then the distance covered by a body remains the same at all intervals of time' so the given body is at rest. Hence, the motion of a body is uniform.
  2. According to the above diagram, we can see that the body does not change position with time. It means the body is at rest.

Thus, the body is at rest if the distance-time graph is parallel to the time axis.
