The correct option is D Increase at some places and remain the same at some other places
As the earth is rotating about its axis so there is centripetal acceleration on the objects on the earth surface outwards perpendicular to the axis at that point.
So due to this the apparent value of g which have both the gravity and centripetal will decrease. (The value of apparent g will decrease as the point of object moves farther away from the axis. This is because first of all centripetal acceleration increase as R increase (a=Rw2) and second of all the angle between the centripetal and g will decrease as the point of object moves farther away from the axis)
Hence if the earth stops rotating, the apparent value of g on its surface will increase at some places and remain the same at some other places
