If the equation ax^2+bx+c=0 is not altered when each of the coefficient is increased by the same quantity. Then x^2+x+2=

Open in App
Solution

This can happen only if coefficients are equal and the coefficients of first equation are negative of the coefficients of second equation ,ie
-ax^2- ax-a=0 ...(1)
ax^2+ax+a=0 ....(2)
All the coefficients of equation 1 is added by same number 2a.
The equation can be simplified by dividing coefficients by a.
The new equation will be
x^2+x+1=0
The question given is
x^2+x+2=?
The answer is x^2+x+2=(x^2+x+1)+1=(0)+1
