$x^{2}$ - m(2x - 8 ) - 15 = 0 $\Rightarrow$ $x^{2} - 2 m x + 8 m - 15$ = 0

Equal roots $\Rightarrow$ $b^{2} - 4 a c = 0$ $\Rightarrow$ $4 m^{2} - 4 (8 m + 15) = 0$
