We know that slope of line joining two points x1,y1 and x2,y2is y2-y1x2-x1

Slope of line OP is m1=-4-03-0=-43

Let slope of line passing through P be m2

We know that for perpendicular lines, product of slopes =-1 i.e. m1×m2=-1

-43×m2=-1m2=34

We know that equation of line passing through point x1,y1 with slope m is given by y-y1=mx-x1
