(where [ ] denotes greatest integer function.)

$f\left(x\right)=\frac{x^4}{4}-\frac{2x^3}{3}-\frac{3x^2}{2}+2$
$f^{\prime }\left(x\right)=x^3-2x^2-3x$
$=x(x-3)(x+1)$
Maxima at $x=-2$
$f\left(0\right)=2$
$f(-2)=4+\frac{16}{3}-6+2=\frac{16}{3}$
$f\left(4\right)=64-\frac{128}{3}-24+2=-\frac{2}{3}$
$M=\left[\frac{16}{3}\right]=5$
