The correct option is B Only the first and second order minima are possible
Path difference between the light reaching the point P via S1PandS2P, Δx=dsinθ
For minima, Δx=(n+12)λ
Thus, dsinθ=(n+12)λ
Given:d=1mmλ=.5mm
sinθ=(n+12)12
But 0sinθ1
Thus n=0 and 1 only satisfies the relation.
Hence there will be first and second order minima and total number of minima be observed is 4.
