If the length of $2$ roads are $25$ km $500$ m and $30$ km $400$ m. What is the total length of both the roads?

Solution

$L_{1} = 25 k m + 0.5 k m = 25.5 k m .$

$L_{2} = 30 k m + \frac{400}{1000} k m = 30.4 k m$

$∴ L_{1} + L_{2} = 25.5 + 30.4 = 55.9 k m .$

The total length of both the roads is $55.9 k m .$
