If the length of sides of a right angled triangle are in arithmetic progression, then find their ratios

let 3 sides of the triangle be a-d , a, a+d

so we use pythagorus theorom, (a-d)^2 + a^2 = (a+d)^2

a^2 = (a+d)^2 - (a-d)^2 = 4ad

a=4d

so a-d = 4d-d=-3d
a = 4d
a+d=4d+d=5d

so ratio will be 3 : 4 : 5
