If the length of the side of a square is 'a' then what is the length of its diagonal?
A diagonal of a square divides it into two right triangles. The diagonal of the square is the hypotenuse of the triangles. We can use Pythagoras' Theorem to find the length of the diagonal if the side length of the square is known.
As per the pythagoras theorem:
Diagonal=√2a, where a is the length of the side
