y2=k(x8k)

(y0)2=k(x8k)

The equation of the directrix of this parabola is

x8k=k4 [x=a]

x=8kk4

But the equation of the directrix is given as x1=0

8kk4=1

k2+4k32=0

(k4)(k+8)=0

k=8,4
