Let a and b are two unit vectors.
|ab|=3
or, a2+b22abcosθ=3 where, θ is the angle between the vectors
or, a2+b22abcosθ=3
or, 1+12cosθ=3 (|a|=|b|=1)
or, cosθ=12
Now,
|a+b|=a2+b2+2abcosθ
=1+1+2×(12)
=1 unit
Hence, B is the correct answer.
