  1. Weight: The weight of a body is defined as the force with which it is attached to the center of the earth.
  2. Mass: The total quantity of matter present in a body is called the mass of the body.
  3. Mathematically, the weight of a body is given as the product of mass (m) and acceleration due to gravity (g),
    W=mg
  4. As the weight of a body is directly proportional to the mass of the body therefore if the mass doubles the weight of the body will also get double.

Hence, if the mass is doubled, then the weight become double.
