If the mass of an object is 2 kg, its weight on Earth will be
________

Solution
Weight
is
dependent upon the mass of the
object and acceleration
due to
gravity.
The mass of
an
object
(m)
is
a
constant value
. So we consider kg as the unit of weight.
Acceleration due to gravity
(g)
differs for different planets.
However,
it remains the
same on earth
and its
value
is taken
as
9.8 m/s
2
.
Hence, an
object of
mass 1 kg has
a weight of
9.8 kg
or
approximately 10 kg
everywhere on earth.
It also means that a mass
of 2
kg
experiences a
force of 20 kg on Earth.
