(i) less than allowable shear stress $\left({\tau }_c\right)$ but more than $0.5{\tau }_c$ the minimum shear reinforcement in the form of stirrups shall be provided such that

(ii) more than $\left({\tau }_c\right)$ shear reinforcement shall be
provided in the form of vertical stirrups or bent
up bars with stirrups or inclined stlrrups to
resist $V_{us}=V_u-{\tau }_c$ bd. Here $\left({\tau }_v\right)$ < $\left({\tau }_{c,max}\right)$

(iii) If $\left({\tau }_v\right)$ > $\left({\tau }_{c,max}\right)$ redesign the section.
