Given that,

  1. Five digit number
  2. 2 at the 10th place

So 0 and 2 cannot be in the ten thousand place. So the number possible digit is 8

Similarly in the thousand place 2 and the digit in the ten thousand place is not possible.

So the no of possible digits is 8

Similarly in the hundred place number of possible digit is 7

The number of possible digit in unit place is 6

So the total number that can be formed are =8×8×7×6

=8×336

Therefore k=8

Hence, option (A) 8, is the correct answer.
