The correct option is A 12
Given that the numbers 50, 42, 35, (2x+10), (2x-8), 12, 11, 8 are in descending order.
Since, there are 8 terms in the given set, so the median will be the average of 4th and 5th terms.
Here, the 4th term is 2x+ 10 and 5th term is 2x-8.
$∴$ Median = $\frac{(2 x + 10) + (2 x - 8)}{2}$
= $\frac{(4 x + 2)}{2}$
= 2x + 1
Given, median of the data is 25
$∴$ 2x + 1= 25
$\Rightarrow$ 2x = 24
$\Rightarrow$ x = 12
