Solution

We have,

In a race, If the odd against winning a race of three horses are respectively 3:1,4:1,5:1.

Let the three horses =A,BandC

Now,

P(A)=13

P(B)=14

P(C)=15

These events are mutually exclusive.

That one of these horses will win=P(A)+P(B)+P(C)

=13+14+15

20+15+1260

4760

Hence, this is the answer.
