The correct option is D 3

A wind mill has a rotational symmetry of order 3. We get a total of three instances where the wind mill will look exactly like the original.
After a 360 rotation any object will exactly align with its initial position. So, every object will have a rotational symmetry of order 1.

Let us move on to the question now.

In figure 1, during a 360° rotation, we have two instances where it exactly aligns with the starting position. That is at 180° and at 360°. So, the order is 2 which will be the value of ‘A’.

But fig. 2 has an order of 1 because it only aligns itself with the original position after a complete 360° rotation. So, B = 1.

Therefore, A + B = 2 + 1 = 3.
