We have, $(x, - 1) ϵ {(a, b) : b = 2 a - 3}$

and $(5, y) ϵ {(a, b) : b = 2 a - 3}$

$\Rightarrow - 1 = 2 x - 3$ and $y = 2 \times 5 - 3$

$\Rightarrow - 1 = 2 x - 3$ and $y = 10 - 3$

$\Rightarrow 3 - 1 = 2 x$ and y = 7

$\Rightarrow 2 = 2 x$ and y = 7

$\Rightarrow x = 1$ and y = 7
