If the perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 57 cm, find the length of its side.

Let the length of each side of the equilateral triangle be l cm.
Then the perimeter of equilateral triangle = l + l + l = 3l cm
It is given that perimeter of the equilateral triangle is 57 cm.
∴ 3l = 57
Dividing both sides by 3, we obtain:
3l3=573l=19
∴ Length of each side of the equilateral triangle is 19 cm.
