If the point (4,3) lies on the graph of the equation 3x-ay=6, then find whether (-2,-6) also lies in the same graph

We have 3x-ay = 6 Since (4,3) lies on the graph, substitute x = 4 and y = 3 into the above equation. We get 3(4)-a(3)=6 12-3a= 6 3a = 12-6=6 a = 2 So the equation is 3x-2y = 6 Substitute x = -2, y = -6. We get: 3(-2)-2(-6)= -6+12 = 6 Hence the point does lie on the graph
