Open in App
Solution

Given that,

Present age of father =52years

Present age of son =18years

Age of father before 12 years=52-12=40years

Age of son after 2 years =18+2=20years

Now, Ratio of age of father before 12 years to age of son after 2 years =40:20

Lowest form of 40:20=4020=21=2:1 (Divide both 40 and 20 by their HCF 20)

Hence, (Age of father before12 years) : ( Age of son after 2 years)=2:1
