Given information:
Initial pressure of the gas P1=P atm
Initial temperature of the gas T1=T K
Final temperature of the gas T2=(T+1) K
Final Pressure of the gas P2=P+0.004P atm
From Gay Lussac's law, P1T1=P2T2 at constant volume.


PT=1.004PT+1

1.004T=T+10.004T=1

T=250 K
Hence the intial temperature T1=250 K
