Ideal gas equation is given by, PV=RT
For a isothermal process, the temperature remains constant. So if pressure decreases so the volume will increase.
Thus, P1V1=P2V2 or P1/P2=V2/V1
Here, P2=P1P1/10=(9P1/10) or P2/P1=9/10
So, V2/V1=10/9
The % of volume increase =[(V2V1)/V1]×100=[(V2/V1)1]100=[(10/9)1]100=11.1 %
