Solution

Consider p(x) = $x^{3}$ – $3 x^{2}$ + 6. The zero of the divisor is 1.

p(x) = (x – 1) $(x^{2} - 2 x - 2)$

The values of a = -2 and b = -2

The remainder is 4.
