Since, if radius of the circle = r
then Area of the circle = πr2
if we doubled the radius then radius = 2r
and Area of the circle = π(2r)2=4πr2
Increased Area = 4πr2πr2=3πr2
% increase in area =increased areaoriginal area×100%
=3πr2πr2×100%
=3×100% = 300%
