The correct option is B 6.09%
Let the initial radius of the circle be 'r'.
Initial Area = 𝛑r2

New radius = 103% of r

= 103100r

= 1.03r

Final Area of circle = 𝛑(1.03r)2
= 1.0609𝛑r2


Percenatge change in area =Final areaInitial areaInitial area×100%

= 1.0609𝛑r2𝛑r2𝛑r2×100%

= 0.0609𝛑r2𝛑r2×100%

= 6.09 %

∴ The percentage increase in area of the circle is 6.09%.
