Solution

Given: a circuit, where the reading of the Ideal voltameter (V) is 6V
To find the reading of the ammeter (A).
Solution:
The current in the resistor 15Ωcan be found using the Ohm's law,
I=VRI=615I=0.4A
The 2 10Ω resistors are in parallel, so there equivalent resistance will be,
RP=10×1010+10RP=10020RP=5Ω
Now RP and 15Ω are in series.
As we know same current flows through a series circuit, so the reading of the ammeter is 0.4A
